    Because being a native English speaker is one of the biggest privileges you could have in any so-called ‘international’ field, from academia to journalism. But it’s hardly ever acknowledged. Certainly not by the native speakers themselves.

    #Ethiopia's UN ambassador rejected a new analysis that estimates 350,000 people in #Tigray are in famine conditions, saying the methodology was "insufficient." In an interview with @AJEnglish, @TayeAtske also denied reports that his government is blocking humanitarian access.

    My heart breaks for the 629 migrants aboard #Acquarius. As an Italian I am ashamed of government’s decision to forbid ship from docking, but I’m also ashamed as a supporter of the #EU, for bloc’s continued inability to deal with migrant issue in a fair, efficient and humane way
