At Risley Avenue, @UKLabour's free breakfast club is working! The club boosts children’s wellbeing, attainment, attendance and behaviour 🥣 Idris, a parent who couldn't afford the club before, told me he now gets to work on time & his kids enjoy a positive start to the day 👏

On #EmergencyMedicineDay, we recognise the life-saving work of emergency medicine professionals. I visited our local A&E team at the North Mid, who care for remarkably high numbers of patients in their emergency department every day, always with kindness and professionalism 👏

This #NationalEpilepsyWeek, I'm calling for fair research investment. Too many face barriers to timely healthcare & equal outcomes. With 630,000 people in the UK living with #epilepsy, research must receive the funding it needs to find personalised treatments & transform lives.

Fantastic to see such targeted action on this issue. Our petition from local residents in #Enfield and #Haringey called for action just like this from the Govt. While I welcome this step forward, I will continue to call for increased powers for local authorities to tackle this.

This week is #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek & the theme is ACTION. To mark this, I met my constituent, Alina Marinca, who has just finished an outstanding research project on children's mental health. It was great to learn more about the impact of sleep disturbance on mental health.

Patients in Southgate and Wood Green are relying on shorter waiting lists to receive the NHS care they need 🏥 It is absolutely fantastic that waiting times have seen the biggest cut in a single month in 17 years 👏 This is the making of an NHS fit for the future.
