Early Utilization of Mechanical Circulatory Support in Acute Myocardial Infarction Complicated by Cardiogenic Shock: The National Cardiogenic Shock Initiative | Journal of the American Heart Association
Life is so funny. Used to read the IC handbook often as a practical resource & reminder before cases. Grateful @AlejandroLemor & I got to be a part of the 5th edition. Thanks @mjlimmd @psorajja @MortonKern I got my copy today!!!
Received IDE approval for the ISOSHOCK trial. A RCT Evaluating the effect of SSO2 on infarct size in AMICS. Let’s hope we can not only improve on the short term mortality as demonstrated in #NCSI but also long term HF outcomes with unloading & SSO2 @BillONeillMD@GreggWStone
Nearly 10 yrs of friendship! To all the new fellows, you’ll take care of a lot of patients, hopefully contribute to advancements in science but hopefully you’ll be lucky enough to meet some great people along the way! @agtruesdell
Walked into @BillONeillMD office 6 yrs ago & said i want to work w/ you. In 6 yrs he hasnt told me “no” to any request. When i miss a deadline he understands. When i’m late he includes me more. When i get tired, he gets more energized. An inspirational mentor. Well deserved!
Incoming IC FIT. 1. Treat every pt like ur fam 2. Meet the pt prior to the procedure 3. Know the pts history 4. Never blame the lab staff 5. If u don’t know ask 6. Scrub as many cases as possible 7. It’s ok to be scared during cases 8. Always follow up on pts. Goodluck!!!
