Andrew Green has been tapped for a lot of Donald Ross work but this one feels bigger than most...East Lake GC announced today that he would create a masterplan for the course, with work schedule to begin after the Tour championship in 2023.

Huge news from @coloavidgolfer, confirming Mike Keiser will develop "Rodeo Dunes" near Roggen, CO. First course will be from (surprise) Coore & Crenshaw, with a second from Jimmy Craig, their associate who handled The Sandbox. Breaks ground next year. coloradoavidgolfer.com/ready-to-ride/

An 18-hole Dormie Network private has been approved for the Nebraska Sand Hills, near Maxwell (which itself is near to Wild Horse). The illustration for the development features a partial sketch of a relatively detailed course, but no architect named. nptelegraph.com/news/local/lin…

The "Dell" hole isn't a template per se, but it's the standard for blind Par 3s, whether you love them or hate them. Old timey photo from @LahinchGolfClub 's feed. top100golfcourses.com/news-item/d-is…

Sandpiper near Santa Barbara is getting some serious conversation as public comment has opened. The project has an admittedly awesome clubhouse concept but more importantly, a course rerouted by Tom Doak. Here’s a routing featured in the project’s city docs.

This is MacKenzie's "Sitwell Green," perhaps the most famous NLE putting surface. I, and many others, speak about how bitchin' such a green must have been. So what's stopping an aspirational course owner from building greens like these? My latest post: bethpageblackmetal.com/2021/09/03/the…

You've no doubt heard by now that the city of Philadelphia will spend $65 million to renovate Cobb's Creek, which includes a historical center and ecological improvements. Course will apparently angle for PGA events. Big win for @cobbscreekfnd inquirer.com/news/philadelp…

Heard rumor from @CbusClubhouse that Gil Hanse may be doing work at Donald Ross's Denison Golf Club. Have confirmed this morning that Hanse has been retained for a masterplan. Presentation and potential next steps early '21.

Michael Breuer taught us more about parenting over the last few years than we realized, and he learned much of that from Grady. Thus Grady’s legacy measures and perseveres further than many of ours.
Grady passed away this morning. Thank you for all of your love and support. We are blessed knowing how many lives he touched. Hug your loved ones a little longer today for Grady.

Dream Golf’s Christmas drop was Coore & Crenshaw’s routing for Rodeo Dunes, which will begin construction next year. Looks like a lot of width, even by their standards. No. 6 features two greens, it would seem. Stay tuned for more details on both courses there.

Kyle Phillips is a Popovich-type interviewee. On what PGA pro he'd like to work with: "I’ve never had any interest to collaborate on a design with a pro. They’re busy playing golf. I spend a lot of time on airplanes, but you don’t want me flying the plane or being the mechanic."

Lawsonia just posted that the Links course will be undergoing a bunker restoration this year, overseen by Oliphant Golf (probably Craig Haltom). Won't cause any full closures, as they'll be pursuing the project one hole at a time.

Saw this photo of Waverly Golf Club in New Zealand and what a scene. The punchbowl. The sheep.

Hmm. Rumor has it that KemperSports will take over management at the Dismal River Club, which had previously been independently managed (I think).
