Oswin Erhunmwunse is a Friar! It cannot be stated enough how big of a commitment this is for Kim English and Providence. Depending on where you look, he’s considered the Top Center in his class. This is one of the biggest recruiting victories in PC history What a win. Mindset.

The portal additions have been incredible, but let’s also give some applause to the guys who decided to stay and work through the adversity of last year. Oswin, Mela, and Floyd will be key pieces to this 2025-2026 Friar team, and they all could have went elsewhere. Loyalty.

There are 19 teams in college basketball with 5+ Quad One wins. Providence is in that 19. Further to that, of those 19, only 11 teams are undefeated against Q3 and Q4 opponents. PC is in that 11. Their resume right now isn’t one of a bubble team. That narrative should die.

Oh my. English, you are my hero. He’s right though. Providence should just schedule terrible teams all non conference, keep their starters in, and try to win every game by 30. It defies logic for anybody whose ever played the sport, but that’s what they are preaching

Providence lands a massive tournament resume win against Xavier 79-75. Four players in double digits with Oduro not being one of those four. This is the complete game we’ve been waiting for from the role players. PC now at 18-9 and 9-7 in conference.

With all of the talk about Providence needing to add a plus sized portal PG, I think I found the perfect guy. Was averaging 18 points at a mid-major before an injury cut his season short. One year remaining. I even did a photoshop of what he’d look like in a Friar uniform.

In the span of a week, Coach Kim English has landed a starting frontcourt player in Josh Oduro and athletic specimen wing in Justyn Fernandez. He also retained the core of PC’s basketball roster. This is a team ready to compete for a Big East championship. Huge day for PC.

There are 23 teams with 6 Q1 wins. Providence is one of those 23. Of those aforementioned 23, 12 teams possess zero Q3 & Q4 losses. Providence is one of those 12. These are just stats and facts that have been deemed very important to the NCAA committee. We’ll see about that.
