10 years ago, Beyoncé was asked what she wanted to accomplish before she turned 40 on September 4th 2021, which is today. And she's achieved EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. #BeyDay #Bey40 #HappyBirthdayBeyonce

Ms Tina has revealed that Beyoncé decided to make #BlackIsKing when she heard the story of Solomon Linda, the S. African composer of Lion Sleeps Tonight who received no credit from Disney. She decided to fix that injustice and show the beauty of Africa from the eyes of Africans.

Beyoncé didn’t just describe the Pride pride flag on “Cozy” - she specifically described Daniel Quasar’s “Progress” pride flag to bring to the forefront marginalized LGBTQ+ people of color, trans people, and those living with / lost to HIV/AIDS 👑 #RENAISSANCE

The only song in Black Is King that was in The Lion King is this song, but instead of using Disney's "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", she uses Solomon's original "Mbube" and credits it as such, meaning that Solomon's children receive the royalties. I love Beyoncé so much 😭😭

Legendary music critic Robert Christgau has declared #Renaissance "Album of the Year" 👑 "Beyoncé’s finest album, it is full of shrewdly differentiated smashes. Underpinned by crucial flavor from house/rap/disco legends, it is unconventionally political, erotic & knowledgeable.”
