UW System President Jay Rothman said the “clashes” were “instigated by the protesters.”
In all video footage taken by the Cardinal, police officers were the first to encircle the encampment and begin to push.

UPDATE: Wisconsin Young Americans for Freedom (YAF), and GOP Badgers have announced a “Party in the USA” at 6 p.m. on Library Mall. This will occur in the same location as the encampments.
