The Royal Australian Navy has been out for our annual Anti-Submarine Warfare Exercise, ASWEX. This year’s exercise involved four #AusNavy ships, MH60R Seahawk helicopters, #AusAirForce P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft and the Japan’s #JMSDF frigate, JS Kumano. 🇦🇺🇯🇵
Exercise Blue Spectrum 26-1 brought together Information Warfare operators from the Royal Australian Navy, Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force and the United States Navy to enhance the professionalism and capability of the combined Information Warfare community.
Vessels from around the world have been making their way into Sydney Harbour this morning ahead of the Exercise Kakadu Fleet Review.
From 1400 today, HMAS Leeuwin will conduct the official review.

The Redcliffe Dolphins recently unveiled their 2026 ANZAC Round jersey during a special launch event at HMAS Moreton.
The commemorative jersey reflects the Dolphins’ commitment to acknowledging the contribution of Australia’s defence personnel, particularly #AusNavy members.

Onboard the HMAS Sydney I was presented with the honorary rank of Commander in the Royal Australian Navy. Here I am with Vice Admiral Hammond and Lord Blakeney ( Max Pirkis ). I served with Lord Blakeney on the HMS Surprise back in 1805.
