At 16 my brother went to a party where he met a very drunk girl who kept trying To cuddle up to him. He realized how drunk she was and knew she couldn't give consent and instead walked her home to her parents. Don't tell me a man doesn't understand consent when a 16 yo did.
The fact it took this and not the slaughter of children to make people wake up really makes me wonder about humanity. They didn't care unless it's their own
Before and after I’m so so so happy I have to practice smiling and talking as I heal but I’m in awe. Thank you to everyone who helped this dream come true

Can we stop pretending that work for the dole teaches unemployed people skills that will lead them to get jobs. It teaches people that it's okay to be exploited and treated like shit because they live in poverty. There's nothing uplifting about it.
I’ve seen so many comments today that say “a girl shouldn’t get drunk and be alone with a male if she doesn’t want to be sexually assaulted.” The first time I was assaulted I was 11. Sober, wearing jeans and a baggy jumper with a galah on it.
