- Notre Dame is one of our biggest non-service academy rivals so I hate to give them credit But what are you talking about? They played a tougher schedule than Texas AND Penn State and beat more top 25 teams then anyone in the final 4Notre Dame has essentially hacked the CFP Easiest schedule Don't have to play a conf champ game Most likely get home playoff game The kicker?
