    I am appalled by the decision of the Los Angeles Dodgers to support a blatantly anti-Catholic group whose sole purpose is to mock the Church. Would they allow mockery of other faiths - our Jewish or Muslim brothers and sisters? Of course not. This group specifically mocks the

    I have just learned of the sudden and unexpected death of Sister Veronica Higgins, CST earlier today, Jan. 2. Please pray for the repose of the soul of Sister Veronica, the Carmelite Sisters of St. Therese, and all who grieve her passing. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord.

    I am saddened and sickened by the deplorable mockery of the Last Supper which was part of the Opening Ceremony at the Paris Olympics. It was a blatant attack on the Catholic Mass which we hold so sacred.

    Families from Afghanistan have begun arriving in Oklahoma to start a new life. We are privileged to have Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City handling all resettlement for the state and acting on our behalf to care for these parents and children. (1/2)

    Clemency is an appropriate recommendation in this case. No matter the guilt or innocence of Julius Jones, there is doubt. The death penalty is final and leaves no opportunity to seek the truth. (1/2)
