This is the current lineup to get on a ferry to the Toronto Islands. It extends out of the ferry terminal and around the block.
It's time to build the bridge!
It's unacceptable that we've let private construction companies use sidewalks as storage for their equipment while pedestrians have to walk in the middle of the street for years. This is King St just east of Spadina.

Build the bridge!
We could bike to the islands in less time than it takes to wait for a ferry.
Public parks should be freely accessible to the public.
It's a 250 meter bridge.

If you're planning to visit the Toronto Islands today, two out of the five public ferries are out of service and long wait times are anticipated. bit.ly/3Vtjkr8
Toronto City Council should act fast and install the planned 2025-2027 Cycling Network Plan before Ford's ban comes into effect.
Biking is perhaps the only infrastructure in the city that can actually keep up with population growth. Biking should be encouraged and safe.
SCOOP: โฆ@CBCNewsโฉ has learned the Doug Ford government is considering legislation to ban municipalities from building any new bike lanes that result in reducing any motor vehicle lanes. #onpoli

Hot take:
Once the Spadina streetcars are back, we should convert the temporary dedicated bus lanes into bike lanes.
This pilot shows there is space for it and car traffic wouldn't be affected.
#bikeTO
Southbound travel times for transit riders on Spadina Avenue have been reduced by almost half during peak hours after dedicated bus lanes were added to temporarily replace the 510 streetcar, @MayorOliviaChow just told reporters at Spadina x Front.
It's time to reimagine Bathurst Street.
Waiting endlessly for the streetcar only to get a very slow ride while one lane is occupied with free parking.
It's a major transit corridor and we're using it as a parking lot.

As a passionate Swiftie and Torontonian, please note:
1. Rogers paid for the temporary street renaming, not taxpayers.
2. The signs will be auctioned off for charity.
3. Taylor's 6 shows in Toronto are estimated to bring in over $420M in GDP.
You need to calm down.
This is like the 2013 Toronto flood all over again. Same exact spots.
Why did we not get more prepared? We've had 11 years to fix our sewers.
Hoping everyone is staying safe and avoiding the roads.

MAJOR TORONTO CITY COUNCIL CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCEMENT:
I am advocating for a pedestrian cycling lift bridge to the Toronto Islands! All Torontonians deserve to access our wardโs largest public park for free.ย ย
It's practical. It's possible. It's a priority.

The polls are clear: Bonnie Crombie's Ontario Liberals are the only ones who can challenge Doug Ford.
Please help us stop Doug Ford by voting Liberal this election.

Thrilled to see environmental advocate @AOC proudly bringing her own reusable mug.
Coffee cups are *not* recyclable - billions go to landfill each year.
I want to see more politicians who support #ClimateChange policy reduce their own carbon footprint.
The traffic anarchy I experienced in rush hour today was next level.
Complete standstill at Front + Spadina, Front + University due to cars blocking the box.
Zero traffic agents. Zero tickets given.
These announcements are useless without enforcement.
City of Toronto increases fines as part of Donโt Block the Box program to help combat congestion and enhance road safety

I wrote this column in today's @TorontoStar
Hereโs my pitch: we need to create a stop on the Union Pearson Express at King Street and Atlantic Avenue. The Union Pearson Express would take residents from Liberty Village to Union Station in five minutes.
This is why I proposed building a pedestrian cycling bridge to the Toronto Islands.
The Islands are a public park and should be free to access.
So much attention is on keeping Ontario Place public, yet the public Islands aren't free either.
