Looks folks, it's very simple: James Cameron's Avatar was wildly successful. James Cameron's Avatar was NOT impactful. It's... It's literally that simple. It was a spectacle, it came out at the right time, it made like 8 Morbillion Dollars... And no one ever quotes it. Ever.

Not only is this real and one of the most accurate adaptations of Shakespeare ever performed in any venue, ever, but it also had the best Mercutio and Tybalt ever cast in any performance ever with Harold Perrineau and John Leguizamo absolutely NAILING those roles.

You know whats more impactful? Superbad, with Jonah Hill & Michael Cera. You can like the movie, not like it, have never watched it; yet still know the name McLovin. Know whats more impactful? Avatar the Last Airbender, which is why you NEED to specify "James Cameron's Avatar".

Okay Drake, you planted that info. Which is why Ross brought a bunch of it up weeks ago. Or why Meg alluded to it months ago. Or why we all had issues with you texting Millie Bobby Brown BY YOUR OWN ADMISSION years ago. Yeah, it was all an evil master plan. Obviously. Sure.

The Witcher implies the existence of The Lioner and The Wardrober.

Sure, sex is great, but have you ever ended a TTRPG session and then *IMMEDIATELY* had your players start telling you how much fun they had and how good things have been? 🥲

Know what's more impactful? JAMES CAMERONS OWN PRIOR MEGAHIT TITANIC. Titanic made a 7.9 Morbillion Dollars before Avatar ever smashed that, but people don't just remember it exists, they remember MOMENTS. They remember the door. They remember arms out at the front of the ship.

Hell, last night on stream I made this point, and got live proof when I referenced "Paint me like one of your French girls!" And someone in chat admitted they had never once seen Titanic but knew that line. That's *impact*.

Look, I'm not saying it's IMPOSSIBLE that this game wasn't made with ill intent, but 88 is an immediate red flag, as are the facts that they use the word Infestation, they use rat-based imagery, it involves gassing them and counting the space "Infestation 88" is 14 keystrokes.

FOR THE HUNDREDTH TIME I AM NOT SAYING IT DIDN'T HAVE IMPACT IN TERMS OF VFX, CGI AND THE LIKE. I AM TALKING ABOUT CULTURAL RELEVANCE. THESE ARE DIFFERENT. I AM NOT GOING TO KEEP RESPONDING TO THE SAME CIRCULAR COMMENTS BECAUSE I HAVE SHIT TO DO WITH MY LIFE, THANK YOU.

I will say this as clearly as I can: If I die? I die. I will go to Valhalla where I *belong*.

And here's the thing: That's *Okay*. It's okay to be successful but not impactful! It's okay to just accept that it was lightning in a bottle that made all the money, Disney! For real! It can just be that! We don't have to pretend it's deeply embedded in the cultural zeitgeist!

And so, the Dark Lord gave out 4 such mambos... One for Monica, In his life. One for Erica, by his side. One for Rita, all he needs. One for Tina, all he sees. But the fifth Mambo... the Dark Lord LouBega kept for himself. One Mambo to Rule Them All.
