    Mocking a disability is no laughing matter. This is absolutely despicable behaviour from @AlboMP. The Prime Minister must immediately apologise to the entire Tourette’s community. Australians living with Tourette’s deserve the PM’s respect, not his ridicule.

    Labor has decided not to extend more than 70 Covid-related Telehealth consultations when Covid case numbers are spiking. At a time when vulnerable Australians need Telehealth more than ever, this is nothing but a cut to Medicare.

    Charities who fail to join the National Redress Scheme will no longer receive tax concessions while they force survivors to wait longer for the redress they so justly deserve. It is completely unacceptable for institutions to refuse to acknowledge the wrongs committed.

    Labor cannot be trusted when it comes to mental health. @AlboMP has been left red faced after a full list of his cuts to important community mental health organisations has been exposed. He needs to be honest - why did these cuts happen in the first place?

    Immensely disappointed with Labor’s political decision to dump Catherine Fitzpatrick as DV commissioner. An incredibly qualified woman and her appointment was widely welcomed. Proof that Labor care more about playing politics than women escaping domestic violence.

    I have today named six institutions which have failed to sign up to the National Redress Scheme. These institutions will now be ineligible to apply for any future Commonwealth funding and the Government is investigating options to revoke tax concessions such as charitable status.

    It is with a great sense of honour and responsibility to become the first Women’s Safety Minister. Sadly violence against women and their children remains an unacceptable scourge in Australia and I believe this is an opportunity to put policies in place that say enough is enough.
