I finally have an excuse to post the photo of this #baroque pulpit from a church in a village in Lower Silesia, Poland.

Polish woman here: it’d be more respectful if you mentioned women, particularly as the activitists themselves use the words? It’s #WomensStrike (#StrajkKobiet) not people’s strike, and it’s #piekłokobiet (women’s hell), not people’s hell.

Good morning! I took this picture in Heale Garden near Salisbury yesterday.

Love this tile designed by Christopher Dresser, who is considered to be Britain’s first independent industrial designer. (Discovered thanks to Persephone Books)

And anyone donating to the Good Law Project should perhaps bear in mind it has so far lost 81% of cases.

We went to one of England’s most beautiful bluebell woods this morning and it was so hard to pick just one photo for the #FlowerReport because I’ve taken a million, trying (largely in vain) to capture the mesmerising spectacle of #bluebells.

A woman gets a whole generation reading; revives children’s publishing; is worth untold billions to Britain’s economy; sponsors MS research; saves Afghan women from terrible fate etc etc, meanwhile, a rich man gets paid to go on a road trip with his friend, and wow, what a guy!

Thank you, v. good (if hard to read) post. I’ve personally known two men, who each had two families, and both kept the existence of the 2nd one secret for decades. It’s more common than people think.

As a former volunteer, I’m astonished that you seem unaware that female victims (surely the majority of people using your service) both expect and have the right to be supported by female volunteers, just as male victims prefer male volunteers.

Bleeders, really? The cause is close to my heart, but I won’t donate, sorry. I’ve been donating sanitary products for WOMEN to food banks, and shall continue to do so, because they don’t use offensive Orwellian newspeak.

How many women receive suspended sentences because they've had difficult childhood? Considering that so many women, who are in prison right now, are victims of MVAWG often dating back to when they were children, my guess is: not many.

So this happened - I won every single title @OrendaBooks have published this year - thank you! Don’t even know how many titles that is, but safe to say I might never need to buy another crime novel. #books
