Took Twitter off my phone last week and didn't miss it as much as I thought I might. I'll still post occasionally to shamelessly promote good work by me and my colleagues, but I won't be interactive. Bad as this place has got, I expect it to get considerably worse and I'm done.

Dear restaurants, Babies come with all kinds of parents. A mom & dad, 2 dads, 2 moms, only 1 of either, and leave the house with any configuration of parents possible. Regardless, the baby will shit themselves and need changing. Put change tables in both washrooms. Thanks

Boys, if you're angry and want to boycott @Gillette for saying we can be better men, raise our sons better, and treat women with respect, you don't need a new razor. You need a new mirror, so you can see what the real problem looks like.

Shout out to the Toronto legend sitting behind the Dodgers bullpen tonight. #WANTITALL

Free beer for the first reporter that asks Poilievre to name one freedom he’s had taken away in the last 2 years.

If you really want to stick it to Nike for supporting Kapernick, remember they don’t just make apparel. They make equipment too, like golf clubs. Buy a set of Nike clubs, and beat yourself over the head with one until you realize no one was protesting a flag. #boycottnike

In Toronto we wanted Rob Ford to resign. He didn't, so City Council took all the power from him they could. Just sayin Congress #TrumpResign

I read a quote from Elizabeth Warren that said something like, "if you went through hard times and think others should because you turned out okay, you didn't turn out okay." I think about that a lot.

To the “what was the point” crowd, The government had to make extraordinary choices in the last 18 months which they didn’t run on in 2019. The public was due the opportunity to weigh in on those choices and what comes next. Democracy is a verb, it’s never pointless. #Elxn44

“When is the straight pride parade?” The day after someone tells you your love is wrong, you get beat for holding hands, you‘re arrested for who you love, or you have to fight in the streets & the courts for the same rights as everyone else. That day, have a parade. #PrideTO

There are no doubt already people blaming the #TorontoAttack on immigration, the PM, or any rationale that justifies their own xenophobia. Hatred cannot be justified by violence, any more than violence can be justified by hatred. Be the Toronto we love, now more than ever

In my #GreatAndUnmatchedWisdom nobody should have nuclear codes if they talk like the floating head from the Wizard of Oz.

I hope everyone politician or staffer in Canada watching the attempt at a violent coup in Washington, understands this is the inevitable outcome of escalating political rhetoric. Remember today before you ever use phrases like “take back our country/province” again. #cdnpoli

I think reasonable people can understand that governments have had to make tough decisions, and won’t always get them right. What is going to hurt Ford is the perception that, right or wrong, he never has a plan. Improv is for actors, it’s no way to govern.
