- As promised earlier today it’s pizza and beer after a day where I’ve been totally overwhelmed. Thanks everyone.
- For the record, I finished a 47 year full time media career today. All I ever wanted to do was work in radio. The dream did come true. Hopefully there’s some casual work going forward but a new phase begins. Grandkids, holidays and weekends for the first time in a long time
- An update on jockey Leah Kilner following her fall at Grafton. Has been placed in an induced coma in a Brisbane Hospital and is being treated for a possible brain injury. Prayers for Leah and family.

00:00 - We can report sadly that Deane Lester has passed away tonight at Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital aged 54. Our condolences go to Deane’s family including mum Sandra and his partner Leanne.
00:00- Jockey Mark Zahra has tonight received relieving news with the test for coronavirus returning negative. All clear to ride on. Should see all meetings go ahead over the next few days.
- I’m sitting at work about to head home and spend time with my wife and the dog. It’s hard to imagine how Lucy and Dean Hollands kids are feeling knowing he’s not coming home. My condolences go to everyone that’s been affected. Please talk to your friends if you need some help.
- The most beautiful farewell for jockey Dean Holland @FlemingtonVRC followed by an extraordinary show of strength and support for all affected by his loss down the straight.
00:00 - How does this happen @SkySportsF1 ? Aussie @OscarPiastri wins @F1 in Bahrain and we get a little box on the screen for the last 10secs.
00:00 - I’m completely overwhelmed with the response from so many people since I announced I’m leaving Sky late next month. The Twitter racing news will continue. No retirement planned... Maybe a new challenge !
