Another landmark trial by @DrJasonAndrade demonstrating the benefit of 1st-line therapy with AF ablation in reducing time to progression to persistent AF compared with AA drugs. Great presentation at #AHA2022 @ElaineWanMD

Although we do so many amazing things in EP, this is also clearly an incredible breakthrough for modern medicine. Heart-warming. @netta_doc @avolgman @rhythmkris @EP_mom1

Should ablation be considered 1st line Rx for AF? @DrJasonAndrade discusses topic at #VA2022. 2/3 of patients treated with AADs will have recurrence in 1 year. And AADs are not benign. Ablation is more effective than AADs in maintaining SR. @netta_doc @CarlChiefCard @drrakeshg1

Thank you to all who attended and contributed to the sessions that made the meeting successful. We could not have done this without your help! Look forward to next year’s meeting in San Francisco. @deering_f @Gfvanhare @LuigiDiBiaseMD @DJ_Lakkireddy @PrashSanders
For those that argue that scientific meetings are no longer necessary, #HRS2018 a welcome reminder of the fallacy of that view. Congrats to @AndreaRussoEP and @HRSonline for once again putting forth the world’s premier EP meeting!!! See you all next year - #HRSturns40

Dr. Andrea Natale receives the Eric Prystowsky advocate for patients care award at the STOPAF patient conference in Dallas. Congratulations!

Safety has always been our primary concern and I personally agree this is the best solution. The CDC recommendation and timing also appear quite clear. We have a Board of Trustees meeting Tuesday night to give us a final resolution and plan for next steps.
This will interfere with @HRSonline conference, should we assume that it is canceled? @AndreaRussoEP @drsuneet

Agree. Let’s ask our patients... wouldn’t a 95% reduction in AF burden be a measure of “clinical” success? What about reversal of cardiomyopathy as in CASTLE-AF? Shouldn’t that be counted, even if 30 sec of AF? We need better definitions. @nmarrouche @HRSonline #WAFib2018
E Prystowsky makes an important point on ablation “success." Many patients happy with marked reduction in AF but listed as failure b/c 30-seconds of AF called failure. Need new definitions of success. #WAFib2018 #ASKwaf
