    I think the farmer protest in Mumbai has set a benchmark for how protests should be conducted: orderly, no anarchy, disciplined, largely self-sustained, no violence or destroying public property, avoiding inconveniencing others -in today's case exam going kids. Salute.

    The IAS officer concerned is Dr Divya S Iyer, a graduate of CMC Vellore. I knew her well when she was a medical student There is little to debate here. This was a weekend engagement, she had informed organizers in advance and she has a right to spend time with her child.
