I began providing palliative care in long-term care in 2016 — an experience that’s shaped my work ever since. Honoured to receive the 2025 Dr. S. Lawrence Librach Award, recognizing physician leadership in palliative care. Grateful to all who’ve shared this journey. 🙏🏽

Retweet if you agree that our governments should send a package of rapid tests & N95 masks to every household, every week, for free.

So let me get this straight: The Canadian women's hockey team wore N95 masks while easily beating Russia 6-1 at the Olympics...but some people are so inconvenienced by having to wear a mask that they're holding the city of Ottawa under siege & claiming it's all about "freedom?"

Welcome to Canada, where the remains of 215 Indigenous children are found at a former Kamloops residential school, but leaders struggle to accept that systemic racism is real and tell us that the use of the word “genocide” is controversial.

Who else agrees that Ontario’s decision to drop the vaccine passport today…is a mistake? ✋🏽

Who else thinks the Ontario government should continue to charge for license plate renewals rather than lose $1 billion of annual revenue which could go towards health care & education? ✋🏽

Imagine the irony of antivaxxers protesting outside hospitals while health workers struggle to save the lives of antivaxxers inside.

Can someone explain how people think their immune system is powerful enough to deal with a virus that has killed over 4.5 million people but not powerful enough to deal with a vaccine that over 3.4 billion people (basically half the world) has already received AND survived?

    # of COVID deaths per year in Canada: 2020: 15,307 2021: 14,606 2022: 19,035 Let's get one thing straight: 2022 wasn't the year that we “learned to live with COVID.” It was the year we were told to ignore COVID while it continued to cause mass suffering, disability, and death.

Who else thinks that CUPE education workers should get the raise they're asking for? ✋🏽 #39kIsNotEnough

If your idea of "learning to live with COVID" means that People with Disabilities, immunocompromised people and young children have to stay at home while the rest of society opens up without adequate protections…you are part of the problem, not the solution.

Retweet this if you agree that the pandemic isn’t over simply because your government is pretending it’s over.

So let me get this straight. The Ottawa police, with a budget of $346.5 million, failed to act for weeks…but 25 courageous Ottawans started an impromptu blockade today to counter the convoy & started to take back the city? #OttawaStrong

Who else is exhausted by the Ontario government's inept and delayed response to COVID-19? ✋🏽
