🧵I am proud of the tremendous accomplishments of the Biden-Harris Administration and the White House Domestic Policy Council, which I’ve been privileged to lead for the last 2.5 years. We’ve gotten a lot done. Let’s start with health care:
Tomorrow marks one year since @POTUS and @VP took office. In honor of that milestone, I wanted to look back at 12 remarkable accomplishments @POTUS has achieved in the past 12 months. Buckle up!
Starting today and running through May 15, 2021, we are opening HealthCare.gov for all Americans to have the opportunity to sign up for health insurance. If you already have coverage, then help your family and friends sign up and enroll.
Today marks the anniversary of FDR’s first activation of the Tuskegee Airmen in 1941. I am proud to be the daughter of a Tuskegee Airman. This all-Black unit represented the best of America.
I am deeply grateful to @potus for trusting and empowering me to serve as his Domestic Policy Advisor. I love the team @ DPC and in the @WhiteHouse. There are no more dedicated public servants. I am so proud of all we have been able to accomplish together for the American people.
During the pandemic, @USPS employees have been on the frontlines delivering for Americans.
I was honored to swear in @AmberMcReynolds, Anton Hajjar & Ron Stroman as members of the Postal Service Board of Governors. I know they’ll get right to work building USPS for the future.
Thirty-one years ago today, President George H.W. Bush signed the landmark Americans with Disabilities Act into law.
He declared on that day, “Let the shameful wall of exclusion finally come tumbling down.”
I applaud Dr. Rachel Levine, who today made history as the first openly transgender American to bravely sit for Senate confirmation. She will fight to ensure every person can access health care that meets their needs.
