    My mother at Bondi Beach in 1968. Well before marriage, kids and a lifelong relationship with mental illness. I was 14-years-old when she was first admitted as an involuntary patient at a psychiatric hospital. The scheduled admission life was a long one. She died this morning.

    7 years ago I was renting a Potts Point one bedroom apartment after leaving an abusive partner. I had no money & restored street furniture. Fast forward to today, after years of hard work & compromise, & Iā€™m the proud owner of a new 2 bedroom apartment. A massive achievement.
