- Cassidy Hutchinson is my friend. I knew her testimony would be damning. I had no idea it’d be THIS damning. I am so grateful for her courage & integrity. To anyone who would try to impugn her character, I’d be glad to put you in touch w/ @January6thCmte to appear UNDER OATH.
- This is FALSE. I was in the mtg. @realDonaldTrump very clearly directed DOD to surge the National Guard - not active duty- after nights of vandalism & arson in DC. It worked, & we’ve seen powerful, peaceful demonstrations since.The White House wanted to have 10,000 active duty troops on the streets of Washington and other cities earlier this week to quell protesters, but defense officials pushed back on the idea, a source says cnn.it/2MEE2Be
- Trump is a national disgrace.
- We’ve never lived in a moment in modern history where so many Sr Military Officials & political officials have warned about the danger a POTUS they served under poses to America. Let that sink in.
- Very cool fact about Tim Walz: he is the highest ranking enlisted soldier ever to serve in Congress.
- The moderators are not the problem. The wildly unprepared, undisciplined GOP candidate is the problem. Republicans had a chance to nominate someone who could discuss policy rather than crowd size. But R’s chose this.
- .@PressSec rightly notes that USPS has more than $10B cash on hand to operate into 2021. This is a manufactured crisis by Speaker Pelosi to distract from the fact that @realDonaldTrump delivered relief for Americans & she and the Democrats have failed to.
- Tony Ornato lied about me too. During the protests at Lafayette sq in 2020, I told Mark Meadows & Ornato they needed to warn press staged there before clearing the square. Meadows replied: “we aren’t doing that.” Tony later lied &said the exchange never happened. He knows it did.Tony Ornato sure seems to deny conversations he’s apparently had. First this one with Keith Kellogg in “I Alone Can Fix It” & now he’s denying the story he told Cassidy Hutchinson. Those of us who worked w/ Tony know where his loyalties lie. He should testify under oath.
- When I read that as many as 70% of Republicans don’t believe the 2020 election was legitimate - I’m reminded of the Mark Twain quote: “It's easier to fool people than it is to convince them that they’ve been fooled.”
- This headline is misleading - so let me clear it up: Meadows never sexually harassed anyone. His former staffer did. I know, I am 1 of the women in the report. I respect the Ethics Cmte but my experience was that Meadows had my back, took me at my word, & respected & protected meThe House Ethics Committee admonished two male lawmakers -- Republican Rep. - Dear MAGA- I am one of you. Before I worked for @realDonaldTrump, I worked for @MarkMeadows & @Jim_Jordan & the @freedomcaucus. I marched in the 2010 Tea Party rallies. I campaigned w/ Trump & voted for him. But I need you to hear me: the Election was NOT stolen. We lost.
- Resisting the urge to argue with the Republicans reflexively defending Trump & downplaying Cassidy’s testimony. He’s ALL yours, folks. Enjoy. Those of us who knew him & worked under him have warned you. It’s on you for continuing to support him. ✌🏻 And btw, it will get worse.
- The Trump Admin is making sure senior citizens are safe & have access to the resources they need during coronavirus. In addition to what we we have already sent, @fema is sending additional shipments of PPE to all 15,400 Medicaid & Medicare-certified nursing homes in America.
