- FYI, PTSD means: P - Post T - Traumatic S - Stress D - Disorder Nothing about those terms suggests that the trauma must be experienced ONLY by active military members. Many traumas can cause it. Unsure where this common misconception came from, but it’s nonsense and harmful.
