- They say tipping is now 18%. That sucks. If I see someone tip 18% I will not go out to eat with people that tip 18%. Unless they dump my plate on me I will tip 20%. If I'm drinking and I like you, I may tip 50-100%. I don't expect people to tip like my drunk ass. But, 15% is low.
