- Nottoway plantation stood for 166 years...it was one of the most beautiful houses I had ever seen. I'm literally sick right now watching it burn. π
- Replying to @All_Saints_DayIt is devastating. To all those celebrating, show me one time in history without horrific tragedies within...impossible. This time period when the house was built was no different. It is this incredible structure and history that are irreplaceable. It is a great loss.

- Replying to @Portia72307Truly sad. You are absolutely correct.
- Replying to @Megchi84 and @QCarter85You missed the boat completely. No one romanticized that Era, or a least i didn't. I said exactly the opposite. It was a structure that can never be recreated and is lost forever. It is absolutely a tragic loss.
- Replying to @platospupilTruly. Been there many times. It was absolutely breathtaking. Hard to believe it had a sister house across the river that was even bigger tha Nottoway. It went into disrepair and burned years ago. Crazy...I can't believe Nottaway is gone.
- Replying to @ImaniXVIIm simply appreciating the beauty, complexity, and skills it took to create that house in 1859. I absolutely condem the evil part of it, don't get it twisted. By "history", i mean it survived for 166 years, and was still standing in 2025. Don't make this into something it isnt.
- Replying to @snowlikejonn"It's Alvin and the chipmunks, and you don't wanna pay Alvin"π±π€£
- Replying to @Megchi84 and @QCarter85Wrong. I was SIMPLY in awe of the structure, the skills to create it, and it's longevity. All the while condemning all the evil that occurred there. You're trying to force a narrative that was not there.
- Replying to @Dan_RuppertYou made it about a wedding venue, but you think I missed the boat? There's no reasoning with people who can't comprehend history(sometimes horrible, unspeakable things) vs. present day.
