modern sonic fans wouldnt be able handle Steven Butler, if folks are getting this worked up over someones fan model of blaze with some curves. they wouldnt be able to handle butler's amazing art style, just saying.

Going to get dogpilled for this. But I need to get this off my chest I really don't like when people make Blaze overly curvy, she is canonically flat, her limbs have noodle like proportions, and she barely has any curves Like if you want a Sonic character who is curvy+

FOUND MEDIA!!! there were plans for another Sonic cartoon to be made for 2007 between SEGA & Phuuz that didnt happen. so i reached out to the show's artists Gary Montalbano to ask what the show was gonna be like, and he provided me a piece of concept art he made for the show!

lets start with the most important reveal here, SEGA not only owns the characters from aosth and satam, but they also own EVERYTHING dic made for those 2 shows including characters, props, backgrounds, assets, cels, music, animation, EVERYTHING!!

we didnt get a third season of satam because, DiC was selling animation cels of satam without SEGA's knowledge, sega didnt like that, so sega put an injunction on dic which legally prevents them from being able to create more episodes of satam (referred as "the network series")

more citations from the court document of sega owning every dic-original creation for Aosth and SatAM (its unknown if this "1992 agreement" extends to later dic productions like christmas blast and/or underground)

to end on a lighter note, the "1991 agreement" wouldve given DiC permission to make live action content about sonic the hedgehog. could you imagine a wacky mario super show styled series with jaleel white in a sonic suit?

in the document they refer to SatAM as "The Network Series" referring to its 26 episodes(1 pilot, and 25 regular episodes) and they refer to AoSTH as "The Syndicated Series" including mentioning their collaboration with Bohbot:

this is where i need to be the bearer of bad news. this document seemingly reveals the real reason we didnt get a third season of satam. it wasnt power rangers/fox, being preempted by sports, or because of Ken Penders.

However in said style guide, you had to buy a license from sega for the TV Characters (presumably exclusives to SatAM and AoSTH like Sally or Scratch) separately from the main game character license
