Contrary to what Nicola Sturgeon appears to claim, Alex Salmond was NOT opposed to the gay marriage legislation. I was the Health Secretary who took the Bill through Parliament at Alex request. He told me that Nicola didn’t want to do it any longer as she was fed up with it

Nicola Sturgeon looks annoyed when asked about the appropriateness of taking an MSP salary while devoting most of her time to writing a book. In the two and a half years since she stepped down as FM, Sturgeon has made 7 spoken contributions in parliament on matters of substance.

Those who have been responsible for bringing about this farce should now be held to account. The credibility of Fife Health Board is in shatters. And the taxpayer is already out of pocket to the tune of £220,000, a figure likely to rise significantly. Totally unacceptable

Alex Salmond’s memory will live on for many many years to come. He was the first person since 1707 to bring Scotland near to regaining our independence. Had he lived he would have continued to play a key role in making sure the independence cause is successful.
