Better Man has a scene where monkey Robbie Williams fights off his monkey demons/younger selves, and that's the type of wild shit I love in creative biopics.
Longlegs is unsettling goodness, and I already know most aren't going to vibe with it. What I do LOVE is Kiernan Shipka giving TWO effective performances for Perkins, her best work that I've seen thus far.
#NowWatching Magadheera is a reincarnation epic, with romance and the fun, over-the-top Rajamouli action. Fun fact, the main lead, Ram Charan, was also in Rajamouli's RRR, and he's awesome in both movies! 3.5/5
Everything about Better Call Saul's Point and Shoot is perfection. Nothing but utter dread, tension, and melancholy with GIlligan's masterful direction, Smith's tightly focused script, flawless performances, and Porter's score REALLY standing out. #BetterCallSaul
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is another solidly dark Hunger Games story, but I was just obsessing over the costume designs, lol. The ladies, men, and the unisex costumes the Capitol mentors wore, were all stunning! Moreso obsessed with Schafer's outfits!
#Wicked was a solid good time, with strong work from Ervio, Grande, and Bailey, but the visual choices regarding backlighting/overexposure/muted palette are frustrating, LMAO. This could be more or less what I tallied, but Chrisy almighty!
