I’m so sorry to hear that bradgobright just died in a climbing accident. He was such a warm, kind soul - one of a handful of partners that I always loved spending a day with. I suppose there’s something to be said… instagram.com/p/B5ZZzoQBtB4/…

Repost from Sanni.. ⁣ “June J Honnold, was born at 10:30pm on Thursday, February 17th ♥️ Things started well but after a long labor she was getting distressed so I went into an unplanned c section. June was not breathing when she came out and she barely had a heartbeat.

@espn is airing Free Solo tonight at 9pm EST, which must really be a sign that people are desperate for sports to start back up... but still, I'm on ESPN! Never thought climbing films would be on TV...

Big update from Yosemite season: baby June has learned how to say “El Cap.” And cutely, she occasionally waves and says, “hello, El Cap.” Photo from the old 120 trail above the woodyard. Controlled burns creating the layer of smoke in the Valley floor.

Hard to believe but today marks the 8 year anniversary of free soloing el cap! Time flies. I’m still so grateful to the whole team for working on the climb with me and documenting it in the film. It was such an all star crew and such a great adventure (though obviously stressful

So stoked for the whole #FreeSolo team on the Oscar nomination. If you've seen the film you know it took a village. Chai, Jimmy, Mikey, Clair, and the whole crew did an incredible job capturing the beauty of Yosemite and my lifelong dream of soloing El Cap.

For my last real day of climbing in Yosemite this season I went up and onsight soloed Center of the Universe (13 pitch 5.11a) on the Fifi Buttress. Lovely climbing and incredible views of the Valley! I rarely stop and take pictures mid scramble but I was so psyched on top (1/2)

Today marks the 3 year anniversary of my free solo of El Cap. I’ve never worked harder for a climb and I’m still incredibly proud of my efforts. But current events have really helped remind me how privileged I am to… instagram.com/p/CA_QCVwBIJ4/…

Our newest member of the team is home and healthy and seemingly quite happy! (Though I find newborns hard to read). Sanni has been incredible through it all and I’m feeling very grateful for our little family. And also very sleepy. (1/3)

We welcomed a new member to the family last month - baby Alice! Sanni has posted more about it and has more updates on her IG, but the concise version is that it’s been a wild ride so far. But Alice is thriving (she gained a double chin her first week) so all is well.
