I honestly never thought I’d see a headline so stark and shocking

- My goodness she is good. I try to only post on medial matters, but found it surprisingly hard to formulate my thoughts on this. @ClaireHanna has articulated them perfectlyI spoke in favour of an immediate ceasefire for Gaza today. The wholesale slaughter of innocent Palestinian men, women & children has no possible justification.
00:00 - Thoroughly disrespectful to so many and nothing short of pathetic. Sadly not unexpected.Hark the herald angels ping Robin Swann won’t let us do a thing No more parties, work at home In the streets you cannot roam Omni is far worse than the delta curse Stay at home Or they’ll be far worse to come.
- That is my late mum as ‘red sister’!A ward in the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. c1970s. (EPC/BT)
- This is 1.5 times the entire GP budget for Northern Ireland. It’s not that there is no money, it is political choicesYvette Cooper: "The Rwanda scheme will cost the taxpayer over £500m just to send 300 people to Rwanda... it's a cost of about £2m per person... this is a shocking revelation... that the government tried to hide... " #KayBurley
00:00 - Face masks again. You will still be asked to wear one in a GP practice (and any healthcare setting). By definition there are people there that we need to protect. Please do not be surprised, annoyed or angry that this is the case, particularly with our staff who are just helping.
- ‘You’re not even allowed to grieve’ The words of an exceptional colleague this week after the death of their mother. No locums, no help, no support, so straight back in and seeing patients. Lucky to even get time to go to the funeral. How have we got in such a mess?
- I’m strangely encouraged by this. Not by the buffoons and their antics, but by the overwhelming response by politicians and public who see it for what it is and who have seen, done and suffered so much. @RobinSwannMoH, you have the full support and respect of our GP’sThis is Extra ordinary .
00:00 - Shocked and disgusted to hear this. He is an outstanding public servant and deserves our thanks our admiration and support. Such a difficult job and impossible to please everyone while trying so hard to keep us all safe. We will only get through this together.Robin Swann says he hasn't asked for any additional security measures despite death threats against him. It would send a "wrong signal" to people in very challenging times.
- It is likely that it will be a very small number of children (possibly 2), and it should not be beyond our expertise and imagination to figure out how to help and fund without detriment to any others. There are many options. If they need a GP my hand is up.'Compassion should not be at the expense of our own people': DUP MLA criticises Michelle O'Neill's comments on NHS treatment for Gazans: trib.al/btrrNqU
- GP additional funding 2025/6 England £969m Scotland £290m Wales £52m NI £1m All have the same pressures, same plans and same priorities. Never ever be shocked or surprised that you can’t access simple, basic health care in NI or why our NHS is collapsing
- Just as a simple, unbiased, non conflicted medical opinion. I would not have myself, my children or any of my family anywhere near asbestos. The risk and the long term impact is just far too severeA key question for the PSNI: was their risk assessment made before or after additional loose asbestos was found on this site by NIEA? We’re currently trying to get an answer to that question. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/northern-…
- He’ll kill me for it, but everyone is allowed to be a proud parent @durham_uni
- GP ALERT. 1/2 There will be significant delays and difficulties today in all practices. At midnight last night there were nearly 400 calls in Belfast alone to be returned (by 2 GPs on the red eye). Huge and unsafe pressure for those involved.5
