    Just wrapped up directing As You Like It with 3rd yr students from @LeedsConservatoire. After 4 weeks of devising, singing & general larking about, these talented young performers took to the Quarry stage @LeedsPlayhouse last week and absolutely smashed it #theatre #actortraining
    10 performers in brightly coloured clothes are dancing in front of 2 large ramps adorned by lanterns. On each ramp there is a performer playing the guitar. All the performers are smiling and enjoying themselves. Some wear veils and roses in their button holes - it is a wedding. The lighting is a blue and pink which gives the impression of twilight.

    Wow 😯 utterly bowled over by the incredible @LEEDS_2023 #TheAwakening Impossible not to be inspired and proud to be a #Leeds resident after watching that. So many brilliant artists.

    First day of #HeartofLeeds rehearsals @WYPlayhouse. There’s been a lot of meeting & greeting. The magical @Christellamusic teaches our 75 strong #community company a World Anthem written by Jaber from our #TheatreofSanctuary programme.

    Yesterday I was making an elephant out of props with supremely inventive actors. Today I am addressing elite coaches on what a director does and how it relates to football training. Life in #theatre is weird.

    Huge thanks to the brilliant but tiny team of volunteers and @LeedsPlayhouse staff who have been calling and befriending 100s of #heydays members every week since lockdown. It’s tough 8 weeks in but their spirit, creativity and tenacity is inspiring us every time!
