- Truly honored to be the first national of #SouthSudan to be awarded a PhD by @Cambridge_Uni. Despite spending nearly 2 years in unjustified detention, God gave me the strength to finish it. I dedicate this to #SouthSudan & the resilience of our people. trin.cam.ac.uk/news/dr-peter-…
- With my friend, the indomitable @AlinejadMasih, President of @WLCongress. The future is bright, my friend! 🙏🏿
- THANK YOU President @realDonaldTrump for saving my family+me & giving us refuge in the USA after I fled a death squad sent by #SouthSudan President Salva Kiir. WITHOUT YOU, I’D BE DEAD. Kiir has ruled 9 yrs with an iron fist never facing an election - they MUST happen in Dec ‘21.
- The videos & images coming out of Tigray are extremely disturbing. The African Union, UN & others need to step up to ensure there’s a ceasefire so that critical aid can reach vulnerable people. It’s sad that we’re still doing these things to ourselves in the 21st century.
- I find it troubling that the Biden Administration, which is full of many human rights champions, has performed less than average on human rights. Aside from Ukraine, I can’t think of anywhere else that they are doing a good job. Tigray is on the brink of ethnic cleansing
- It was a great pleasure to take my son, Deng, to Harvard University to see my office and the place I studied when I was younger. It was a wonderful bonding experience for the two of us (not that I am planting any ideas in his mind 😂). 🙏🏿
- Baby shower… getting ready to welcome the newest member of our expanding family ❤️🙏🏿
- Somaliland is destined to take the title of the world’s newest sovereign nation from South Sudan. Frankly speaking, it’s about time they obtained their recognition. It is more functional than many sovereign states around Africa and the world.US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller comments on the MoU signed by Ethiopia and Somaliland, and resulting tension - clip includes both the leading and closing question and response by Miller.

- “What Ethiopia is doing is not only for the benefit of Ethiopia alone. It is going to benefit Kenya, South Sudan & even Sudan… Egypt cannot think Nile is theirs alone. Nile is our shared resource.”-@AjakPeter Excellent analysis by Peter on KTN news #GERD 📹© KTN
00:00 - A year ago, today, I regained my freedom after 18 months of unjustified, brutal detention. Today, I am reunited with my family & out of reach of those who wish me harm. I am grateful to friends around the world who fought for me & helped secured my liberty. Thank you & God bless!
- It’s been a year since the Russian unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, including indiscriminate & inhumane bombing of Ukrainian cities, but Ukraine still stands! I salute the Ukrainian people for their bravery. I hope to visit them later this year. Glory and victory to Ukraine! ✊🏿
