Two weeks ago, Israeli strikes hit the densely populated Jabalia camp in Gaza.
We identified at least 126 civilians killed in the strike, including 116 full or partial names - the most named victims we have ever monitored in a single event.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza has released the names and IDs of tens of thousands of Palestinians killed.
To aid our own documentation, Airwars built a tool to search these lists - which were only released as PDFs.
Today, we're making that tool public:

NEW: How does the scale of harm in Gaza compare to other conflicts?
Our new report presents a unique analysis of where and how thousands of civilians were killed in the first 25 days in Gaza - and how these patterns are unprecedented in modern warfare.
Airwars tracked & mapped every single Coalition anti-ISIS air & artillery strike (all 32,000) in Iraq & Syria from 2014 to 2018. That ended December 16th when the US-led alliance stopped saying where & when it bombs. For the sake of transparency, @CJTFOIR should reverse decision.

NEW: Airwars investigation documents where and how 3,000 civilians were killed in the first weeks of the war in Gaza.
The findings show the initial Palestinian Ministry of Health death toll to be largely reliable.
With claim and counterclaim over civilian deaths in Gaza, vital stories are being lost or ignored.
Today we release the first of our casualty records - preserving the voices of civilians to build a permanent archive of each life lost.

Israel has published more videos of its own airstrikes than any other modern military - boasting precision in its campaign in Gaza.
But who was really killed?
A new Airwars visual investigation in collaboration with @SkyNews
Almost every named victim we found died along with at least one other family member.
This includes the Rayan family. Abdel Rayan held up a list to Reuters listing the names of his 15 family members killed in Jabalia that day.
We have identified and recorded each one.
There are likely thousands of recent historical events in which the US and its close allies killed civilians - their deaths then officially denied. It shouldn’t need multiple media investigations to have DoD properly review and identify civilian harm.
Without the NYT's deep investigation into the U.S. drone strike in Afghanistan that killed ten people from the same family it's unlikely we would have seen this admission by the Pentagon today. The entire strike was deemed a "tragic mistake." The man targeted posed no threat.
