    My mom texted me and… She made a Goodreads account just to post this review for LINGHUNπŸ₯ΉπŸ€ She put the entire novella through google translate & read it through twice, and I can’t express enough how much it means to me that she gone through such efforts to support me πŸ˜­πŸ€πŸ«‚
    A text exchange between me and my mom: she sent a screen shot of the Goodreads page for LINGHUN and her review for it; I replied with laughing emojis. Her response: β€œDid I do right” with a laughing emoji.

    This is something I’ve thought endlessly about whenever I notice recurring themes in my work, but each time the theme will be explored differently or more in depth as I inch towards answering my own questions & I think there’s something beautiful about seeing the growth overtime
    One thing I learned from watching Hayao Miyazaki films is that it’s okay to tell variations of the same story over and over again. That sometimes you will need to tell the same story in different ways (often at different points in your life) until you can finally be free of it.
