Our first satellite Deimos has been successfully launched into orbit!
Initial telemetry was secured several hours after launch to confirm that it is alive and healthy.
With Deimos, we’ll be validating a computer 20x more powerful than previous GPUs sent to space - stay tuned 🚀

- Our team members Amit and Priyank successfully integrated Deimos into the @Exolaunch EXOpod deployer for it’s flight on SpaceX Transporter-11 The satellite is now at Vandenberg AFB, where it will launch on a Falcon 9 in the coming days We’ll see Deimos again in orbit. Godspeed!
- Our satellite Deimos now has a mission patch! We’ll be validating the first space computer to use a 1024-core GPU, delivering over-the-air updates from Earth, and performing simultaneous inference and training for ML models on orbit. 🚀 Transporter-11 📍 Vandenburg 🌎 525km SSO
- Our first satellite is now (officially) registered on Space-Track! Welcome to Low Earth Orbit, Deimos 🛰️
- Time to start tackling our announcement backlog! Announcing our seed round led by @KindredVentures, another two satellite missions, our first office in SF, first AFWERX contract, and our next-generation space computer built on an even more powerful processor. Even more to come:Proud to announce @AetheroSpace has raised $8.4M led by @KindredVentures alongside @neo, @GiantStepVC, @alumniventures, @1517fund, and @osventuresllc to build compute in space s/o to our angels @JoshuaSteinman, @Basti, @miamishor, @sthenc, @kayvz, and others What comes next?
- Today’s the big day! Follow with us along in our journey to orbit by tuning into the official SpaceX livestream that starts at 11:12am PST:
- move fast and launch thingstook us 18 months to go from a napkin sketch to having prototype hardware working in orbit took us less than a year to go from first mission to crossing $2M in revenue (not counting SBIRs) teams in motion tend to stay in motion
- working on this, announcing a bunch of things soonToday I learnt that GPUs only last 2 to 8 weeks in spaces. Radiation destroy them You gotta launch a new satellite to fix Huge problem for AI in space
- Replying to @RiyanMendonsa @beffjezos and 2 othersForgot to mention that our systems are already working on a demonstrator satellite in orbit :)
