I’m so humbled at the responses I’m getting on here. I love @BarrowAFC - but I love this amazing job that I’m privileged to do Todays game was the most craziest game of football I’ve seen! People say the magic is gone in the Fa Cup After today I say no chance!

Wednesday will be another landmark moment for me on the broadcasting journey I’m on. Not only will we be going out as usual on @BBC_Cumbria but from 7pm Wednesdays coverage of @BarrowAFC v Ipswich will also be broadcast on @5liveSport Xtra An extremely proud moment for me

Just been told I’m being put forward for a BBC New Talent award Whether I get it or not just the fact that my bosses feel that I’m worthy of being put forward has made me feel immensely proud

Sadly the Queen of Holker St is unable to make the game tomorrow against Northampton but she wanted her loyal @BarrowAFC subjects to know she will still be following the team and wish everyone well Get well soon Margaret from all at @bbccumbriasport

5yrs since @bbccumbriasport took a chance on me and allowed me to do this job for real. If you told me back then that I’d be in the EFL & feature twice on @BBCMOTD as well as do a game for @5liveSport Xtra I would have laughed at you. If you’re sick of me I can only apologise

I’d just like to put on record the incredible job that the ground staff and volunteers did at @BarrowAFC to get todays game on. This was what the pitch was like when I arrived at the ground today - and from all accounts it was a lot worse before I arrived. Amazing effort

I’d love to say the emotion I showed tonight was simply down to the occasion. Sadly despite the highs it marked a moment of sadness for me and my family. I wouldn’t be the man I am now without all the sacrifices you made My greatest supporter Love you mum always and forever 💙x

Now that the dust has settled slightly (although nothing has quite sunk in yet) I’d just like to put on record my thanks to @Ollie_Bayliss for doing an amazing job keeping everyone up to speed on the whole situation. Massive credit to his role within the game we all love

A landmark moment. Tonight’s commentary of Barrow vs Doncaster in League Two will be my 300th commentary. From being a volunteer at Radio Lonsdale - Barrow-in-Furness Hospital Radio in September 2016 to now working for the BBC it’s an immense honour doing a job I dreamt of doing
