    Brace yourself but even if masks were effective at stopping Covid I'd rather risk contracting it every year or so than wear a mask every day. Anyone else of this view?

    Omicron, wildly infectious and mild, was a perfect opportunity, 22 months in, to dump all the costly "measures" that by now obviously don't "slow the spread" (masks, contact tracing, density limits, vaccine passports/mandates, iso rules) without losing face.
