Our wheels are our independence, and an extension of ourselves and they should be treated with the same respect. When you take away our wheels or damage them in anyway you take away our independence, you disable us. This is a shameful act.

Oh look what happens when you block footpaths and disable communities! Good to see @DubCityCouncil out enforcing the law.

We woke up this morning to read this statement by our Taoiseach @LeoVaradkar This is a horrible #ableist slur to use to denigrate anyone. Using anyone’s disability whether physical or intellectual as a put down impacts us all in the disabled community. Once again we are the

The past few weeks we’ve been inundated with messages about the new baths out in #DunLaoghaire and the fact the ramps out there are mountainous. Sean is a local so we made a couple of videos yesterday, now tell us this public place is inclusive and accessible, go on tell us.🤯

We are in shock. It’s with great pain and sadness we announce the sudden passing of Megan, Sean’s fiancé. Due to be married later this year we are heartbroken for our great friend and fighter for all things equality. We also want to send our love to Megs family and friends. 💔💔

The headline doesn’t do the story justice! What are the design flaws you say? Consultant discovers that in the worlds most expensive hospital some of the consultant rooms have no wheelchair accessibility. That’s right no access for children wheelchair users in a €2.2bn

Thread. We met with a family, their daughter is a full time wheelchair chair user but going to college. The college isn’t served by any bus route but they can get to a dart station. A couple of weeks ago she and a group of friends decided to go into town and use the dart.

Hi Shauna we have a twelve year old full time wheelchair user here and she would like to know how confining her to her home because people decide to park on the footpath, how her disability is contributing to the cost of living crisis that we as a group are very involved in.👍🏼

Out for a Sunday walk in #fairview yesterday and when we decided to swing around by the Alfie Bryne road parks we were confronted again by more barriers. No matter what we did we couldn’t access this little park!!!!! It’s not good enough @DubCityCouncil

Thread. 1. Yesterday we were witness to a very uncomfortable and angry confrontation. Down along the cycle track by clontarf, just at the wooden bridge, two cyclists cycling with very expensive bikes and decked out in all their pro-peloton gear roared and shouted at a

This is just utterly disappointing, our national transport authority has opted to acquire brand new, BRAND NEW, public transport vehicles that will still require PWD to give notice to travel as they are inaccessible to wheelchair users and those with mobility issues. #equality🤬

Gas really that two ministers on salaries of €183,000 plus expenses think that a pensioner can survive on €265.30pw, a carer €237pw and a person with a disability €220pw. Gas altogether. Anyone for cake?

We are disgusted to see a public representative from a government party that of @FineGael belittle us for participating in the rally and finally being able to have our voices heard. This type of rhetoric is exactly why PWD are always afraid to speak out. #Shameful
