- As I get closer to D-Day I’m taking stock of moments like these. Saturday night in a coffee shop with colleagues “doing a good science.” Two weeks ‘till D-Day!! (Defense Day, not the other one 😅)
- Just finished moderating a panel with @SAStrongMD @DrJoSimps and @AmissabahJ. Phew! Still riding the high of BEING SEEN. I was encouraged to “show up in my full blackness” and I needed to hear that, bc for some reason I’ve forgotten to do so 🤧🥺
- So I gave a presentation in the lab today and when I finished I SO badly wanted to say “no further questions at this time your honor” because I was so afraid to answer questions 😂
- Look! It’s me! 😯 talk about fighting imposter syndrome - seeing myself presenting work is always so surreal. I L-O-V-E working in the @DiconLab at @BoysTownHosp studying healthy cognitive development through the lens of trauma, environmental factors and now, ✨hormones✨The Institute for Human Neuroscience @BoysTownHosp hosted its annual Summer Scholars Program! Undergrads were competitively selected for the 10-week training program. We capped the summer with a professional symposium (17 posters!!!). Check out some of the highlights! 👇👇👇
- This was a short, but super sweet meet and greet. “Full transparency” - I never knew that Omaha had SO many Black doctors (MD & PhD) and healthcare/science professionals. BONUS: they’re PASSIONATE about communities of color! 🥲 Inspirational, motivational, all the buzz words!Sharing a pic from an evening meet & greet on Feb 28 (last night) at the intersection of #BlackHistoryMonth & #WomensHistoryMonth. It was great to see faculty, staff, & students from past & present with the #OmahaMochaDocs! @NMAPresident - hoping to reignite the chapter.
