Today, we kicked off the Invictus Games Participating Nations Expedition, presented by ATCO. The expedition will carry the Invictus Games flag through the territories of the Lil'wat, Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. This flag represents the spirit of the Games and honours the courage and resilience of those who inspire us.
The expedition team, which includes Invictus Games alumni, representatives from each of the four host First Nations, expedition guides, and representatives from ATCO, will experience winter travel and cultural storytelling, culminating in the Welcome Ceremony of the Games. The @InvictusGames25, presented by ATCO and @Boeing will be held on the traditional territories of multiple First Nations, working closely with these communities to honour Indigenous protocols and respond to Canada’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action.
