Quick Announcement! I've started a substack! Won't change any of the threads I do on here, just allows me to post some longer thoughts I have and go more in-depth than a tweet allows for It's completely free to subscribe and I already have something on NYK/MIA up. Link below

This Knicks team has a special way of playing the worst basketball you've ever seen all while somehow staying within striking distance lol. Special kind of torture to watch lol

Brunson being doubled and Hart being open is exactly how the Knicks season ended last season against Miami, only Brunson didn't find him. He found Hart this time and he knocked it down

Mitchell Robinson thread Trae torched the Knicks in their PnR drop coverage in the playoffs. Mitch defends two PnR's from Trae here in that same Def. Mitch's positioning/length forces Trae to pick the ball up early both times. Then Mitch steps up on a 3rd screen to block a 3PA

Knicks age 23 or younger: RJ Barrett Immanuel Quickley Cam Reddish Mitchell Robinson Obi Toppin Quentin Grimes Deuce McBride Jericho Sims Knicks have an intriguing, young, and cost-controlled core and 6 of them will (likely) be in the rotation

Quentin Grimes is a special defender

Karl-Anthony Towns Thread KAT isn't just an elite shooter for his size/position, he's an elite shooter period. He gets his 3's off in a variety of different ways including coming off pindowns as he does here

-Julius has to play better, Knicks have no shot if this is the version of him they get. -Thibs cannot tank another 8 mins playing Elf. Knicks lost by two. Every second matters. -Give Frank a real shot to defend Trae. He got cooked on the last play, but give him an extended run

The Knicks should be perfectly fine with going into next season with IQ-Rose-Deuce at PG

Thibs closing with Obi is something I never thought would happen but is emblematic of the growth he's shown as a coach this year

Jalen Brunson thread Brunson is an ELITE isolation scorer. Very tough to defend 1-on-1 because of his high lvl of footwork, craft, touch, and finishing ability. Brunson thrives in the painted area despite being listed at just 6'1 due to his fun array of pivots and fakes

The Knicks are just a different basketball team when Elfrid is off the floor. The numbers agree and the tape shows this. I don't understand the decision to consistently start every game at a disadvantage. I'm not trying to bash him, but it's the same story every game.

Derrick is Rose is a +25 tonight. Immanuel Quickley is a +16. Elfrid Payton is a -9. The Knicks lead by 16.

Regardless of the result of this game/series, this Knicks team has way too much offensive talent for how ugly it often looks
