DOs are 11% of the physician workforce and are equivalent to MDs. Misleading statements by the media and even public figures undermine their credibility, and have hurt more than 151,000 doctors and medical students. Please share and help this country separate fact from fiction.

Our good friend @RealDoctorMike heard some physicians are looking for new scrubs. If this is you, it’s your lucky day.
    Replying to @RealDoctorMike

Hasan Minhaj on MDs and DOs @hasanminhaj @FallonTonight What he got right ➡️ We are the same in most ways: same years of medical school, same residency training programs, equivalent board exams What he got wrong ➡️ Everything else (1/3)

Physicians train longer than other medical professionals for a reason. It is in the interest of patients to have honesty and transparency with the use of professional designations of nonphysician clinicians, and to maintain physician-led, team-based care.

Political belief is subjective. A license to practice medicine at the highest level is NOT. @MSNBC must do better for the heroes looking after public health so their anchors can live privileged lives on the air. @maddow @Lawrence #GetItRight
@MSNBC Why do you have a bias against Osteopathic Physicians? Your obvious slander and marginalization of Ostepathic physicians is disgusting and offensive. @maddow @Lawrence @AOAforDOs
