Having just had a few days off from Twitter I’m absolutely bowled over by the quantity & generosity of all the comments following the Coronation. I’m sorry I can’t reply to each one individually. THANK YOU to all who have written and to my countless wonderful fellow musicians.

- I am very excited to announce that from next year St John's College Choir will include male and female voices, both adults and children. A great and historic day for our choir! Full story here: joh.cam.ac.uk/girls-and-wome… @SJCChoir @stjohnscam @SJCS_Cambridge
- The finest services imaginable. Thank you & congratulations to James O'Donnell, Peter Holder, @WAbbeyChoir James Vivian, Luke Bond, @stgwindsor Joe Mc Hardy, the amazing choirs, clergy, vergers, singing teachers and innumerable others who contributed. Dignified & deeply moving.
- Hugely proud of our 6 wonderful probationers who started 10 days ago. Here is their very first visit to Chapel. Wow! The start of 6 amazing journeys. If you know children who love singing, please get in touch! We have several spaces left for next year. @SJCChoir @SJCS_Cambridge
00:00 - 1/3 One of the proudest days of my career: hearing superlatively talented organ scholar, George Herbert, conduct @SJCChoir Advent broadcast (2 days after my +ve Covid test.) Choristers sang SO well, with just 10 out of 16 well enough to sing. Gents simply outstanding as usual.
- 1/3 Today is my 34th & final @stjohnscam Advent Carol Service, before hanging on the baton to the wonderful Christopher Gray. Very happy memories of all the amazing singers & organists I’ve worked with here @SJCChoir @SJCS_Cambridge. Thank you all! It’s on @BBCRadio3 at 3pm.
- My last day with my beloved second family, @SJCChoir. Goodbye, thank you for everything, and very good luck for your exciting new chapter ahead! I will miss you hugely.
- Best wishes to the great James O’Donnell as he moves on from a uniquely distinguished career in the UK. 40 unbroken years at the pinnacle of the profession at @wcchoir & @WAbbeyChoir. Awe-inspiring! Britain’s great loss is @yalemusic’s gain. Thank you for enriching so many lives.
- A joyous time for the Choir of St John’s! Thrilled that we’ve formally admitted our first 3 girls to the choir. Amelia, Ingrid & Martha were presented with their surplices by the Dean at Evensong yesterday. Exciting times ahead! @SJCChoir @stjohnscam @CanonOakley @SJCS_Cambridge
- A joyous day for @SJCChoir! Welcome to our four new singers: Nina, Amelia, Ingrid and Martha. Exciting times! @stjohnscam @SJCS_Cambridge @CamUniMusic
- 2/2 …the group is to be abolished. I have been standing by some of the musicians’ memorials in Westminster Abbey wondering what Elgar, Walton, Howells, Britten, Boult and others would have made of this news. We must not return to being ‘the land without music.’
- Very very best wishes to the wonderful Christopher Gray, whose first rehearsal as Director of Music at St John's College, Cambridge starts in fifteen minutes! Such an exciting new era for him & for Choir, College & School. @SJCChoir @SJCS_Cambridge @stjohnscam.
- Absolutely delighted that my eminent predecessor, James O'Donnell, has been appointed Organist Emeritus at Westminster Abbey. Many congratulations, James, and thank you for being so kind and supportive to me! @WAbbeyChoir @wabbey
