- There’s a stark difference between biblical Christianity & Christianity that’s merely a brand of conservatism or progressivism. The former is rooted in the Bible & controlled by Gospel imperatives. The latter seeks ideological ends & uses the Bible as a secondary source.
- Our sister @JackieHillPerry is a blessing to the Church and an inspiration to the AND Campaign. She consistently goes into the public square and upholds the authority of Scripture with grace and courage. It’s ridiculous for Christians to attack her over silly political grudges.
- Christians, you can identify with a political party without allowing the party to become part of your identity. If you feel the need to defend your party everytime the other side makes a critique, you probably have an unhealthy relationship with the party. #NewChristianPolitics
- The problem isn’t that Christians are in political parties, it’s that we’ve allowed the parties to frame the issues for us and create a false dichotomy. We’ve split the Gospel in our public witness, placing social justice on one side and moral truth on the other. #AND2020
- 🚨WRONG! This would devastate churches, mosques & temples that house immigrants, feed the poor, educate children, visit the sick (&) love LGBTQ people even when they disagree with them. - The AND Campaign speaks for Christians who refuse to surrender their compassion to conservatism or surrender their convictions to progressivism. Do you have the love to protect your neighbor (&) the boldness to stand firm on timeless doctrine even when pop culture disagrees?
- The AND Campaign isn’t against Christian participation in political parties. We’re against Christians placing their identities and faith in political parties. We’re against replacing the Compassion (&) Conviction of the Gospel with flawed political ideology. #AND2020
- Regardless of which party you affiliate with, Christians should commit to the following: I will hold Republicans accountable when they disregard immigrants or the poor. I will hold Democrats accountable when they disregard the unborn or undermine religious liberty. #AND2020
- Many of us are looking for a theology that justifies our thoughts, inclinations, desires and cultural preferences without any demand for personal transformation. We’ll likely find it b/c there are always false teachers ready to accommodate us, but it certainly won’t be biblical.
