- Aggressive passengers pose a serious threat to the safety of other passengers and flight crews. ALPA joined flight attendants and other aviation workers for the introduction of the Protection from Abusive Passengers Act.
- We are shocked and saddened by the tragic accident at DCA tonight. Our thoughts are with those affected by this tragedy and ALPA’s accident investigation team is responding to assist the National Transportation Safety Board in their investigation.
- Studies from @NASA & @FAANews found that single-pilot operations increased pilot workloads to an unacceptable level, decreasing the safety of simulated flights. Reducing crews reduces safety--that's a risk we can't afford. Read more: alpa.org/news-and-event… #TwoPilotsAlways

- While some are willing to put profits over safety, there is no substitute for two pilots on the flight deck. Pilots will always be key to delivering passengers and cargo to their destinations safely. alpa.org/news-and-event…
00:00 - Two highly-trained pilots are the foundation of safety that millions of passengers rely on every day. Pilots work together to safely reach their destination & when problems arise they’re both ready to keep passengers & cargo safe. alpa.org/news-and-event…

- We join the international #aviation community in condemning the forced landing of #Ryanair #Flight4978. A forced landing under false pretenses introduces serious safety risks to the flight that puts the passengers and flight crew of a civilian aircraft in jeopardy…Dictatorial attacks on freedom—whether freedom of speech or freedom of the skies—have no place in the international community. That’s why I led 24 of my colleagues in a letter demanding an investigation into Belarus’s unprecedented forced landing of a commercial flight.
- As we continue working with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada & the NTSB regarding the investigation into Endeavor Air Flight 4819, the following details regarding the flight crew's training & experience are being shared in order to correct false & misleading assertions.
- Thank you @SecretaryPete for your commitment to uphold the critical #aviation safety rules that have led to a 99.8% reduction in #airline passenger fatalities since its enactment. We must continue to defend the world's safest aviation system against those seek to weaken it.
00:00 - Last week, @ALPAPresident pushed the Senate to keep safety as a priority as special interests try to rollback pilot training standards to make up for business decisions. Safety is too important to lower our standards to increase profits.
