    35 years ago today, THE LITTLE MERMAID, my first animated musical was delivered into the world. In a few days SPELLBOUND, my 10th animated musical will be introduced to a world that has changed in so many ways, but still wonderful & magical. Happy Birthday Ariel & welcome Ellian!

    Happy Anniversary to our original The Hunchback of Notre Dame. It’s been 28 years, followed by multiple, beautiful stage adaptations. I’m so proud of this work & everyone involved in each of the versions. Thank you to the fans, worldwide, who continue to love & support this gem.

    These lyrics from "Colors of the Wind," the very first song Stephen Schwartz & I collaborated on, are as relevant today as they were when Pocahontas opened in theaters 30 years ago: "...if you walk the footsteps of a stranger, you'll learn things you never knew, you never knew."
