We are deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Octavian-Eugen Ganea — a brilliant scholar, dear friend and colleague, generous mentor, avid mountaineer, and a humble soul.

Octavian made significant research contributions to MIT Jameel Clinic during his time as a postdoc, driving the superior quality of research coming from Jameel Clinic. His dedication and passion for impactful work left a lasting mark on the MIT community and beyond and he will be dearly missed by us all.
