The “DAP”… Did y’all know that the “DAP” handshake was created by Black American soldiers during the Vietnam Conflict as a sign of solidarity towards one another.  The word “DAP” means Dignity and Pride. #ADOS #ADOSPride #ADOSAF

There’s a growing debate on the origins of #HipHop. 🧐 Well, we'd like 2 pay homage 2 legendary #ADOS “R&B group” The Jubalaires.   #TheJubalaires are “remembered 4 rhythmic rhyming verses, which would later evolve to rapping.”  Hip Hop wasn’t created yet -- this was 1947... 😏

In honor of #WomensHistoryMonth, #ADOSAF would like to highlight its founder and CEO, Yvette Carnell, who is--without a doubt--the driving force behind the current surge of advocacy for lineage-specific repair in America. From the Org and the movement: We love you!!!

The Louisville Metro Council recently passed an ordinance that adds "American Descendant of Slavery" as an ethnic choice on government forms! To know what we are owed, we must know who we are. Every level of government should disaggregate. Shoutout to the Black Caucus! #adosaf

LBJ in 1965. It's true, non-ADOS Americans wouldn't have the political & economic stability they enjoy but for ADOS. And where are we now, nearly 60 years later?  Still without recompense, still without justice. Thats why we're here. Join the struggle. Happy #BHM from ADOS AF

You shouldn’t say R&B without knowing the name Ruth Brown. Ruth Brown was known as the woman who helped build #AtlanticRecords and ushered in a new style of music that inspired several generations after her. We salute Ruth Brown an #ADOS legend! #ADOSmusic #RandB #RuthBrown
