This thread is wonderful. It also misses one part of Zuko's character with his evolution: he was incredibly nerfed as a firebender because of the mentality behind his bending.

A fascinating aspect of Zuko's character arc I think is how it subverts the traditional 'underdog' archetype. Even when Zuko reaches the ultimate height of his abilities, he remains evenly matched with his sister, who is in the midst of a mental breakdown
